Samsung is expanding its Galaxy Buds lineup with the Galaxy Buds On, its first ear-clip wireless earbuds and a major departure from its traditional in-ear designs.
The open-ear design sits around the ear instead of sealing the ear canal, making the Buds On suited to activities such as walking and running where users may want to remain aware of their surroundings.
Samsung has equipped the earbuds with a TwinBoost Speaker system, audio leakage reduction, automatic volume adjustment, three microphones and bone-conduction voice sensing. The earbuds are also powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform, enabling AI-powered calling and hands-free access to Galaxy AI and Gemini Live.
The launch comes as clip-on open-ear earbuds gain momentum across the audio market. Samsung is positioning the Buds On as an alternative for users who want greater comfort and environmental awareness without giving up connected features.
