Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro brings a notable upgrade in battery life, with the company claiming its latest flagship delivers the biggest battery-life improvement in iPhone history.
The iPhone 18 Pro is rated for up to 36 hours of video playback, compared with 33 hours for the iPhone 17 Pro.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max pushes that figure even further, reaching up to 45 hours of video playback versus 39 hours on the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Apple has also added faster wired charging, with the new Pro models capable of reaching 50% charge in about 15 minutes.
The comparison becomes more interesting with Apple’s new iPhone Duo, its foldable model. Apple rates the Duo for up to 44 hours when using its outer display and up to 31 hours with the larger folding screen.
That puts the device’s battery performance in a different range depending on how it is used.
For users considering an upgrade, battery life is shaping up to be one of the more meaningful changes in the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, particularly on the Pro Max.
