Cybersecurity and compliance startup Comp AI has raised $34 million in a Series A round as it looks to use AI agents to automate more of the work involved in security and regulatory compliance. The round was led by Roo Capital and Grand Ventures.
Founded in 2025 by Lewis Carhart, Claudio Fuentes and Mariano Fuentes, Comp AI is developing an agentic platform that can help companies draft security policies, collect evidence for audits and continuously monitor compliance controls. The company says the goal is to move beyond periodic audits toward ongoing security monitoring.
The platform also includes AI-powered penetration testing designed to proactively identify vulnerabilities across codebases and infrastructure. Comp AI says its technology does not replace independent auditors or human oversight, with people still reviewing and approving important actions taken by AI agents.
The latest funding brings Comp AI’s total capital raised to $37.5 million. The company plans to use the Series A funding to expand its product as businesses increasingly deploy AI agents that can access sensitive data, change permissions and make other consequential decisions.
