Garmin CIRQA owners are reporting a frustrating software issue that can cause entire workouts to disappear from Garmin Connect, with the problem apparently linked to how an activity is ended.
As per reports, the issue occurs when users start a workout directly from the CIRQA smart band but later open Garmin Connect and select “End” from the app's “Activity in Progress” prompt. Instead of saving the workout, the activity can disappear entirely.
Garmin has acknowledged reports of lost activity data and is investigating the issue. The company is also collecting additional information from affected users, although it has not provided a timeline for a permanent fix.
For now, Garmin recommends selecting “Resume” when the prompt appears. Users can then open the activity recording screen and stop and save the workout normally. Garmin also recommends keeping both the CIRQA firmware and Garmin Connect app fully updated.
The problem is particularly awkward for a screenless fitness tracker whose main job is to capture and preserve activity data. Garmin has not confirmed which software versions are affected or formally classified the issue as a bug.
The incident also comes shortly after CIRQA received its major 3.20 firmware update, but current reports indicate the disappearing-workout problem was being reported before that release, meaning there is no evidence that the update caused it.
