Apple has opened the claims process for a $250 million settlement involving allegations that it misled customers about AI-powered Siri features on certain iPhones. Eligible users could receive up to $95 per device, reports CBS News.
The settlement covers people who purchased an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or any iPhone 16 model between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. The lawsuit alleged that customers bought the devices expecting enhanced Siri capabilities that were not available as advertised.
Apple has denied the allegations and did not admit wrongdoing as part of the settlement. The agreement still requires court approval, with a hearing scheduled for February 24, 2027.
Eligible customers will initially receive $25 per device, although the final payment could rise to as much as $95 depending on the number of valid claims and other factors. The deadline to submit a claim is December 21, 2026.
Users can submit claims through the settlement website and will need their iPhone's serial number. Payment options include PayPal, Venmo, direct deposit or check.
